I'm on a boat, and I don't know where to go. I've gone to a small island, and to a mountainous, South-East asian-looking mountain pass (can't defeat the boss of it yet, but the guide says its optional so...Yeah.

Help?

You just got the small boat or the large ship?

If the small boat, your next location is himesworth mountains.

odd~ on mine, it says 67% completed, and I've taken like, 30k steps. Also~ I'm lv 30-ish, and I'm getting whopped by the boss on that mountain =(

Sorry, my disclaimer should have been that I was using a debug save file. I skipped some stuff and went to places I wasn't supposed to be, so the numbers are a little off.

The boss is pretty challenging--you're definitely at the right level. A few tips though,

he hits hard, so try to get an advantage over speed. haste yourself early on when he's weak, and try using a move like quick hit to slow him down.

magic wall can reflect some of his skills

turn battle mode on wait so you have time to think about your moves in-menu and you aren't as rushed.

grab all the equips from mirilas (that island town)

he's weak to earth magic

looks like he's also not resistant to poison. since he has a large amount of health this might do phenomenal damage.

I noticed my suggested level in the guide is off but you should be able to do it.

How much damage do earth-based attacks do (Assuming that I can only use lv 1 earth-based essence atm)?

I can't recall, as I haven't done my playthrough in quite a while. But when I do (soon like this weekend) I will test him out to make sure the difficulty is appropriate.

Oh yeah~ I'm not really sure if you're already aware of this (or if you can even fix this, if you're working with the same resources as RPGMXPs event editor >_>), but you don't have to move to be attacked, you just have to have a key down.

PPS: I'm stuck with carrots now, I've got all the treasures, but I can't seem to get to where I'm sposed to be in the vents, and I've been EVERYWHERE. <_<

I couldn't find out where to go after a while as well. It made it more fun though :D

That's one of the more difficult dungeons in the game.

Oh and unfortunately you can't just walk from start to point 1. Yo have to go to the floor-level, dodge some guards, then re-emerge at another point before you can reach the key.

I got past the forest with the melanoid tree~ and it stole Kelar from me! D=<

He's no longer in my party~ but he still shows up in cut scenes >=P

That definitely shouldn't have happened...

And I could have SWORN I included a fail-safe condition that added them to the party after the boss.

So...does this mean that for the time bieng, I've got to re-do the melanoid tree battle, or when you release Ch7, is there some sort of magic that'll fix Kelar? =D

You can keep playing--you just won't have Kelar for a bit. He will re-join later but I think you should be ok--if you want the challenge! :P

The good news is he will be in your party for the next boss.
