I tried Starless Umbra on my new laptop and because I got this new laptop from school (all 9th graders get them) I can't add the new font (MS GOTHIC), can you use cherry 1's font patcher and make it so that if you don't have MS GOTHIC then it will use MS GOTHIC UI, I would do this myself but seeing as it's not an RPG_RT file it comes up with an error.

the problem is that the font comes out unreadable.
Please do it if possible.

Edit:I just made an error, i thought your font was called Gothic and not Starless make the first box sat Starleess and the second MS GOTHIC UI.

Yea you'll have to include Starless.fon in your windows directory (from the download). Then everything should work. Does everything work all right? If not do you have a screenshot of how it looks?

The problem is that I'm using a computer given to me via the school(we get the administrator password after we finish 11th grade), so i can't change the font and mess with the settings and stuff, is there anyway to make it so that if you don't have the starless font it'll use another Readable font that comes with the computer/laptop(MS GOTHIC UI).
I hope this makes sense to you if not then just delete this topic and I'll play on my own shitty computer.

Nope it makes sense.

RM's default font for the RPG_RT.exe is either RM2000.fon or RM2003.fon. You'll need one of those to see fonts properly. If I recall, RM only reads .fon files, but if you have one already in your windows/fonts dir maybe we can patch to that font? xD

Also if I recall MSGOTHIC is the font used for RPG Maker 2003's editor. I could be wrong though.

Maybe I'll try renaming one of the fonts in the laptop but I'll doubt it'll work.
At lunch today it was raining so me and my friend were both playing Starless Umbra, even though the font's really really bad its still bearable to an extent.
These laptops were the dumbest thing to do for education, they caught a guy, he was wearing earphones and watching pornography in class. Whats worse is that it was the principle that caught him.

And the funny thing is he acted like a saint saying stuff like, I don't watch porn and that he's full on religious, all they're doing is taking away his laptop for 2 weeks and suspending him for 3 days.

D=< Wtf? Back in 9th grade, I got a perma-ban from using the school computers cuz I was on Youtube! That kid should have his computer taken away >_>

Nope. I went to a public high school so we only got to borrow our textbooks. Other than that, I don't think they gave/loaned anything to us.

Though this was also before netbooks really started getting popular. I bought one for my senior year of college and it was wonderfully useful though.

Our ones are running windows 7.
Last years 9th graders got really crap ones.
I don't go to a private school, but the governments doing this thing where everyone in year 9 gets a laptop to keep, so that they can use it for work(and in one case pornography) in case they don't have one at home.

D'oh, that makes sense. I can see why I didn't get one, I've got 3 computers in my apartment alone >_<
